Plastic Orange Snow Fence for Containment

Our plastic orange snow fence is a temporary barrier made from durable high-density polyethylene (HDPE), specifically designed to control snow drift and prevent snow from accumulating in unwanted areas like roads, driveways, or construction sites. Featuring a mesh pattern, this fence allows some wind and snow to pass through while redirecting the rest, effectively minimizing snow buildup.

How Does a Plastic Snow Fence Work?

Snow fences act as windbreakers, reducing wind velocity as it hits and passes through the fence’s openings. As the wind slows down, the snow loses momentum, causing it to drop and accumulate on the downwind side of the fence. This controlled snow drift prevents snow from piling up in areas where it could cause problems.

Orange Snow Fence Features

The mesh design features circular openings, which effectively reduce wind speed while preventing snagging due to the absence of sharp corners.

Weather Resistant:

This snow fence won’t warp, rust, corrode, or fade, even with prolonged exposure to sunlight.

High-visibility:

The bright orange color provides excellent contrast against snow, enhancing visibility for drivers.

Reusable:

Designed for multiple seasons, the fence can be easily rolled up and stored during the summer months.

Install the Orange Snow Fence Correctly

Position the fence about 12 feet upwind of the target snow accumulation area. Secure the fence between two wooden posts, ensuring the posts are no more than 8 feet apart. Insert the posts firmly into the ground, then attach the fence using nails or zip ties, especially if you plan to reuse it.

Leave at least a 5-inch gap below the fence. Higher placement of the fence will push the snow drift further away. If the fence is too low, it may get buried in heavy snowdrifts.

PRO TIP:
Get Industrial-Strength Zip Ties

During snowstorms, strong winds can exert significant pressure on the fence. To ensure stability, attach the fence with multiple industrial-strength zip ties per post. This will keep your fence secure throughout the winter. When removing the fence, use wire clippers to cut the zip ties, preserving the fence for future use.
